History:
Jack comes from a very southern family on his mother side. So southern, his mother named him after Dale Earnhardt Sr. since he was his grandfather's favorite NASCAR driver. He was raised by a village you could say, with multiple cousins and aunts. His mother being the youngest to five girls. The girls all took after Nana Maybelle who was a witch, and each of his aunts use their magics in different ways.
Wanting a somewhat normal life, Lacey decided to focus more on the spiritual aspects and create charms for luck and good health to sell in the little shop she and Jackson lived in. When he was ten, his mother met Craig. A Scottish Kelpie on vacation. He’d come into the shop, met Lacey Burnette, and the rest was history. They were married for two years before Grace and Hope were born, the little family now complete. Jack had an alright relationship with Craig, he tried being a father figure to him, but they had their differences, and Craigs Scottish temper often times showed through. Jack never knew who is real father was, and non of his family members or his mother would tell him about him. Wondering if he was a human and that’s why his family refused to talk about him. You see, Jack’s family had a slight prejudice about humans. Ever since the witch trials, they’d held a grudge, and Jack was afraid they’d treat him differently since he appeared to be a human. That wasn’t the case, and everyone just said he was a late bloomer and his magic would come in eventually. It didn’t help Jack much, and with the arguments he’d get in with Craig, Jack found himself an angry teenager.
Needing to hit something, Jack put himself in football his freshman year of high school, and was surprisingly good at it. So good at it, he became one of the star running backs. Football became something him and his family bonded over, his famiy section was the loudest at football games, especially with Craig shouting in his loud Scottish accent that boys should “KICK THEIR WEE LIL’ ARSE’S JACKIE BOY!”
When his senior year came, he was offered a free scholarship to a small college up in Maine that his mother attended long ago. Because of the free ride, Jack decided to go, wanting to see the world outside of Charleston. Feeling the pressure to become a business major form his family, that’s the major he settled on at Minerva falls. In all reality. Jack wanted to go the education route, and actually get his PHD so he could be a kindergarten teacher. At the beginning of his junior year however, things took a strange twist. Something strange was happening to Jack, and unfortunately (or fortunately) he had an insatiable hunger that he'd never felt before. It caused physical pain and he quickly realized the only way to make the pain go away was to spend a night with his friend Lizzie Nguyen in a tent in the woods. The whole thing being unplanned.
After that night in the woods, Jack knew he wasn't a human. There was something
wrong with him. His mother refused to answer his questions and it wasn't until Jack learned that Lizzie was pregnant that he wasn't going to stand to listen to no more answers. With Lizzie in tow, the went to South Carolina to get answers from his mother. What they learned through them for a loop. an Incubus. Jackson was an Incubus, and from what his mother told him, his biological father was one too, and it was the reason why he wasn't around. Finally with some answers, they faced another problem. Incubi were a rare specifies, and without Jack's bio father to teach him how to control his abilities, Jack ran the risk of causing a lot of trouble. More so with the fact Lizzie was pregnant and the pregnancy was progressing at an increasingly alarming rate. With a sudden need to find his biological father, Lizzie and Jack pulled themselves out of Mivera Falls college, packed up what they could, and hit the road.
After several months, they finally managed to track Jack's dad, Luke, down to a small town called Xander's Cross in Oregon. With a baby vastly approaching Jack is slowly beginning to freak out. Not sure if he's ready to be a dad yet, but he's also terrified of what he's becoming and what he could do to Lizzie or the baby if he can't control himself.
