Basics:Face Claim: Dylan O'Brien
Name: Cody Finnegan
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Height: 5'10"
Fashion: Fashion really isn't a thing for Cody. He's a teenage boy who couldn't care less about what he wears. He'll usually don a pair of jeans, band or geeky t-shirts, flannel every now and then, but he loves jean jacket (which was a hand-me-down from Grant) and his classic Converse shoes. His hair is either buzzed short or just long enough to slightly spike up.
Physical Description: Well, he's not a Greek god, but he's not terribly scrawny either. Cody is of about average height, so he appears slim beneath the baggy shirts. However, with his brother wishing he would get into sports, specifically football, he's been quietly trying to "bulk up" and has a surprisingly toned and muscular physique without appearing "too jock" as he likes to say. His dark hair is usually short enough where he doesn't need to bother with a comb half the time, and his light brown eyes are usually squinting a little in humor or mischief.
-Personality-Description: Despite the loss he has endured, Cody still manages to be the jokester of his group of friends, always trying to keep everyone happy with smiles on their faces. Maybe it helps keep one on his own, but he would never admit to that. He talks
a lot, especially if a situation has gotten awkward, and he'll normally try to tell a joke (often badly) whenever he's nervous. Cody attempts to be a charmer, yet it would seem that trait might have only gone to Grant since girls often find him more annoying than anything. Or maybe it's because he's a "nerd" and likes to collect comic books.
Habits/Hobbies: Working on his Jeep; camping; collecting comic books (specifically Batman); playing around with
Oreo; pulling pranks on Grant or throwing around a football with him (whichever suits his mood); annoyingly flirting with girls he knows he'll never get
History: When he was fifteen, his parents both died in a car accident just down the street from their home. They were coming back from their usual date night and hit a sheet of black ice. Cody still remembers how cold that night was, the way the police lights washed everything in red and blue, even recalling the plaid pajamas pants he was wearing as he stood outside the house in complete shock. He was left with a trusted neighbor and family friend before Grant could come home. And suddenly, both their lives changed.
His brother moved back to Xander's Cross and became his official guardian until Cody was old enough to be out on his own. Things were very rocky at the start because Grant didn't know how to be a parent. He shouldn't have
had to be one. Even as young as he was, Cody tried to remember this and not blame his brother, but he couldn't help but feel like a burden, and that he was holding Grant back from pursuing his career.
He began to rebel a little and his grades started to suffer as all he wanted to do was come home after school and just lock himself in his room. It wasn't until he was able to get his license that he slowly came out of his dark shell. Grant gave him the keys to the old 1980 Jeep Wrangler that had been sitting in the garage for years, a project car their father had never been able to dedicate time to, and it would become
his project. He spent the following year trying to restore it, working oddball jobs here and there to save up for parts. Finally, when that engine roared to life, Cody finally felt like maybe he was getting his life back on track.
Secret: He feels guilty that Grant had to pick up his life in Portland and move back home to take care of him. After graduation, he's thinking about packing up his Jeep and just leaving so that he won't have to be a burden anymore.
